WEATHER

Baby, it's cold outside! Expect snow flurries regularly during the month. We hope you bought a sun lamp, because mister sunshine will be taking an extended vacation throughout the month of December. Notable amounts of snowfall are expected during the later part of the month, just in time for Snowdown. Bundle up and find someone to cuddle with, Poros, it's going to be a chilly month!

ONGOING THROUGH DECEMBER

FINALS! Fall term is done around the middle of the month, punctuated with exams and projects. The week leading up to the end of the term should prove to be busy, but it will be worth it in the end, right?
VACATION! Finally! The term is over and it's time to celebrate the Snowdown holiday! Are you going home for a few weeks or staying on campus? For those sticking around, the campus will prove to be a bit of a ghost town. It might be a good time for some shenanigans, or to go into town and hang out.
SNOWDOWN! The end of the year is here, and with it the Time of Snowdown! Time of Snowdown, the area around Valoran Institute will be decorated in kind. Shops will be offering special Snowdown sales to prepare for the gift-giving season. Be careful of the crowds, however, they can be quite cutthroat.
SNOW DAY! A blizzard is coming, time to bunker in! Classes will be cancelled for a few days, much to many of the teachers' chagrin (with exams just around the corner). What does this mean for the students? Snow ball fights, snow angels, snow forts, really the list goes on.
WILD CARD! Come up with your own prompt!

MONSTERS OF THE MONTH!

WHAT IS THIS FESTIVE THING??? The Snowdown-starved serpent of Summoner's Rift will be making an appearance around campus. It seems relatively harmless... unless you get too close. Baron Nashor will spawn in random areas around campus, here to spread Snowdown cheer with his noxious acid breath! Someone get this guy a candy cane!

MINI EVENT!

PORO INVASION The Poros have taken over the campus! They heard you have delicious Poro-Snax, and have come to visit en masse. Surely this couldn't be a bad thing, right..?

Piltover? Targon? Freljord? Noxian? Zaun? Bilgewater? Although I guess you probably wouldn't have much reason to try most of those, especially since the last one is pretty much just grog strong enough to eat a hole in your stomach.

Whoa, all right. Well, I can work with this. Would you be up to trying something new? What kinds of things do you normally like to eat?

Mostly Demacian food, or what they happen to be serving in the cafeteria at the time. Or sandwiches, if I'm in a rush. But I'm up for trying something different, it sounds exciting.

Let's stick with Ionian, then! C'mon, it's not far!

[He leads her to a small Ionian restaurant. It's relatively clean, and adorned with bamboo and scroll hangings with Ionian script and stylized drawings of Ionian folklore. They aren't seated, instead, they are just directed to pick a table and sit down, after which ice water is brought to the table. The menu is in Ionian as well as the common tongue]

The dumplings are really good but pretty mild. You have to be careful with some of the meat dishes like the beef and pork, but the wontons tend to be safe if you like shrimp. Chicken's a toss-up, if you see the little fire symbol that means it's spicy but you can always ask for less spice if you want to try but aren't sure what you can handle.

[ Looking around, the aesthetic was interesting and different. The menu... intimidated her a bit. Looking down at it a bit apprehensively, only raised her head to listen to Ezreal's instructions before looking down again. Maybe this hadn't been such a good idea. ]

Um...

[ She flipped between pages, a bit uncertain. ]

I'll get whatever you think would be good...

The sesame or orange chicken are both pretty good and aren't really spicy.

I'll try one of those, then.

Sesame chicken should be good then. I'll be having some Shon-Xan Beef. It's really spicy, but if you're feeling brave you can try some.

[As the waiter arrives he exchanges some words with her in Ionian]

Did you want anything else besides the chicken? Some of the drinks are pretty good.

[ She looks between the two of them, more than a bit surprised. ]

Ah, sure! Pick something interesting.

[indy_wannabe]

Sure!

[He says a few more things to the waitress who nods and heads off]

I hope you like this. It's a bit different from what you're used to, I'll bet.

[ladyofluminosity]

Everything here is a bit different than what I'm used to, so why not just jump off the deep end?

If you really want to jump off the deep end you should try some of mine.

[ ...What's with that look? ]

Why do I feel like I'm walking into a trap?

[Two plates are dropped in front of them. Ezreal's appears to be steaming and spitting]

I dunno, you tell me.

[ladyofluminosity]

[ Her eyes go wide as she looks down at her plate. She looks equally uncertain when the waitress sets down a bubble tea in front of her. What are these strange things in her drink? Ezreal, what did you get her into? ]

You have to pick a straw.

[Sure enough, the waitress is holding a lot of brightly colored straws out for Lux]

Once you've picked one, just punch it into the drink. I think you'll like it, it's a tea.

[ladyofluminosity]

[ She takes a blue straw, waiting for the waitress to leave before leaning in and whispering. ]

But... but there are things in it!

[ Those aren't tea leaves, Ezreal! This isn't tea! You lie! ]

It's tapioca. Try it.

[ladyofluminosity]

[ Lux gives him a somewhat skeptical look before skewering the top of her drink and very, very hesitantly taking a drink.

This is weird!

...But really, really good! She looks surprised before taking another drink. ]

See? Trust me, I know some good stuff.

[ladyofluminosity]

I guess you can be right every once in a while.

[ She takes a bite of her food. ]

This is really good too! I thought it would be spicier than it is.

[indy_wannabe]

That's a no-spice dish. If you want to try spicy, have a bit of mine. I warn you though, it's really spicy. It'll probably be a bit too much for you.

[ Despite the fact that it was angrily spitting a moment ago. She grabs a small piece with her fork and eats it without a second thought. ]
