WEATHER

November proves to be unusually cold this year, with a heavy frost setting in around the second day of the month and lingering throughout. Temperatures during the day are brisk, leading toward positively cold nights, and some begin to wonder whether the school will see an early snowfall this year. Flurries will begin to set in around the 28th of the month.

ONGOING THROUGH NOVEMBER

GIVE THANKS! November ushers in the last of the harvest festivals, and with them, people are encouraged to come together and give thanks for the bountiful harvest for the year. What does this entail? Festivals around the area, usually with livestock and produce, and, of course, parties with lots and lots of food!
EXAMS! The dreaded mid-terms. You knew this time was coming. Did you study for your tests? Do your tests even matter to you? Teachers, are you a sadist? Or will you show your poor students a bit of mercy (the answer is no, you should never show them mercy)? Heaven or Hell, let's rock these tests!
WATCH OUT! The campus has become a dangerous place lately, and we don't just mean the monster attacks! With temperatures dipping below freezing, frost and ice will begin to spread at a surprising rate. It seems a bit suspicious, actually...
OPEN HOUSE! This time of year is notorious for family members to stop by and visit, and, as such, Valoran Institute will be hosting an open house during the early part of the month. Catch up with your dear aunts and uncles, pester your kid siblings, or maybe just try to avoid getting embarrassed by your parents. Good luck, it never works.

MONSTERS OF THE MONTH!
Things seem to be relatively quiet around the campus, surprisingly enough. It seems that those valorous vigilantes have been gaining a bit of notoriety, judging by how the student body has begun talking about them. But don't get too complacent. Rumor has it that strange robed figures have been spotted around the campus, late at night.

MINI EVENT!

MID-TERM STRETCH! With mid-terms over around the 13th, the faculty have gotten together to play a game. In line with their tradition of nurturing young, strong and tactical minds, they have concocted what they call the Mid-Term Stretch! Students will be pitted against each other in a competition. The sport? To be determined. Although rumor has it that it may have something to do with paint...

[ She was getting a bit irritable about this. Probably the headache. She sniffles a few times. ]

Anyway, midterms are coming up and I need to be in class. I won't have my grade suffer because I have a cold.

[ She sneezes, with a bit of a shiver. ]

[ As the day went on, however, and as the medicine he gave her began to wear off, Lux was beginning to realize that maybe, just maybe, Ezreal had been on to something.

Around noon, she felt woozy.

By two, she was downright miserable.

She should probably go home after class, but pride would keep her going, force her into the club meeting. It was nearly 15 minutes after they were supposed to start when she came through the door, looking like a clammy, miserable mess. ]

Hey, sorry I'm late...

This is the part where I get to say I told you so.

[He slides over a tray that has a some meds, a glass of water, and a hoagie sandwich that looks pretty hearty, but isn't overly heavy]

[ She deadeyes him a bit before resting her head on her arms. ]

My head hurts too much to fight with you right now. Cut me some slack.

I am. Eat something and take the meds, it'll help. After that I'll walk you back to your dorm.

[ No you're not you're still pulling that "I told you so" crap.

She lifts her head, staring at the sandwich before taking a bite. Quickly downing the medicine, she seems a bit slower with everything else. ]

...I didn't think I was this sick...

When you've traveled as much as I have, you can usually tell. I'm surprised you made it this far.

[ She lays her head back on her arms, staring at him somewhat bleary-eyed. ]

If you said it like that, I might have actually listened to you.

[ ...She must have been really sick if she was willing to admit this. Take advantage of it now, Ezreal, you weren't going to see this again. ]

Yes. Like you said, you can tell because of that. I might not have wanted to, but I would have listened.

Well, I'll be sure to say it like that next time. Because you look like shit, and you probably feel worse.

[ She gives him another deadpan stare. ]

Cut me some slack, I'm sick.

[ Lux finishes her food. She has perked up a little, but is still flagging. ]

I know. After you're done, we'll get you back to your room. I'll leave some meds with you. You're going to need it.

[ladyofluminosity]

[ It was a bit surprising how nice he was being to her. Maybe it was the haze of her cold talking. It was... actually kind of nice to think she had someone looking out for her. Leading him back to the dorms, she stood in front of her door.

She should... probably say something. Why did this feel so awkward? If anyone saw her bring someone back along this way, especially him. Lux looked up at him, then down again, fishing through her coat pocket for her key. ]

I've got some notes for tomorrow's meeting. Strategy, for our next meet. Will you pass them along? If I'm not in tomorrow.

I've got you covered, don't worry. You all right? I'll leave some meds, how are you on food? You're probably not gonna make it to the cafeteria.

[ This was awkward. This was really awkward. Why was he fussing so much? And why was she somehow... kind of okay with this? ]

I have some snacks in my room...

[ Just let her go inside this was really uncomfortable. She doesn't even remotely know what to do with this. Her world is being completely turned upside down, and it's not just the cold making her dizzy. WHY IS HE BEING NICE THAT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. ]

All right, good. I'll leave you with some water bottles too, I can guarantee you don't have enough. Lay off the heavy foods and stay hydrated. I'll catch you later.

[ She nods a bit, taking the water bottles and exchanging her notes with him. If he looks, he might even get a peek at the inside of her room, which is covered in interesting posters. Some of things he likely has watched and may even like.
