WEATHER

November proves to be unusually cold this year, with a heavy frost setting in around the second day of the month and lingering throughout. Temperatures during the day are brisk, leading toward positively cold nights, and some begin to wonder whether the school will see an early snowfall this year. Flurries will begin to set in around the 28th of the month.

ONGOING THROUGH NOVEMBER

GIVE THANKS! November ushers in the last of the harvest festivals, and with them, people are encouraged to come together and give thanks for the bountiful harvest for the year. What does this entail? Festivals around the area, usually with livestock and produce, and, of course, parties with lots and lots of food!
EXAMS! The dreaded mid-terms. You knew this time was coming. Did you study for your tests? Do your tests even matter to you? Teachers, are you a sadist? Or will you show your poor students a bit of mercy (the answer is no, you should never show them mercy)? Heaven or Hell, let's rock these tests!
WATCH OUT! The campus has become a dangerous place lately, and we don't just mean the monster attacks! With temperatures dipping below freezing, frost and ice will begin to spread at a surprising rate. It seems a bit suspicious, actually...
OPEN HOUSE! This time of year is notorious for family members to stop by and visit, and, as such, Valoran Institute will be hosting an open house during the early part of the month. Catch up with your dear aunts and uncles, pester your kid siblings, or maybe just try to avoid getting embarrassed by your parents. Good luck, it never works.

MONSTERS OF THE MONTH!
Things seem to be relatively quiet around the campus, surprisingly enough. It seems that those valorous vigilantes have been gaining a bit of notoriety, judging by how the student body has begun talking about them. But don't get too complacent. Rumor has it that strange robed figures have been spotted around the campus, late at night.

MINI EVENT!

MID-TERM STRETCH! With mid-terms over around the 13th, the faculty have gotten together to play a game. In line with their tradition of nurturing young, strong and tactical minds, they have concocted what they call the Mid-Term Stretch! Students will be pitted against each other in a competition. The sport? To be determined. Although rumor has it that it may have something to do with paint...

Lux shook her head a bit, easing herself out of his grip with a bit of a sniffle. ]

I'm graceful enough to be able to recover from something like that, I'll have you know!

[ It might explain why he was suddenly there when she was about to fall. She's still trying to wrap her head around how he managed that feat. ]

Our schedules aren't that different you know, what with all the honors classes. Also most of my shortcuts give me good vantages. I see all kinds of interesting stuff.

[ She gives him a sideways, skeptical look. ]

You won't believe what I saw your brother doing with that Du Coteau girl.

[ Her eyes widened, cheeks turning more pink than they already were. ]

[ Ow yeah no, not a great idea to raise her voice right now. It cracked a bit, and she cleared her throat hard to try to dispel the rough dust settling there. ]

You're lying, he would never! Besides, how do you even know what my brother looks like?!

Enormous, brown hair, likes to scream "justice!" a lot. Has a thing for hiding in bushes.

["Justice" being said in a voice to kinda mimic Garen's]

[ Yeah okay, so they apparently had met. When did they manage that? Maybe when he was running around the high school which was still weird in her mind? ]

...That doesn't sound anything like him.

[ Lux pauses, frowning a bit. She really wished her nose would stop trying to run, though. She's trying to play this off, and sniffling like she was wasn't helping. ]

I'm fine.

I've got some meds in my bag, want some?

[ladyofluminosity]

[ She looks conflicted. ]

...Yes, please.

[indy_wannabe]

[He holds out some medicine and a pack of tissue.]

Probably want some water too, right? Here, I haven't gotten into this one.

[He holds out a bottle of water as well]

[ She looks surprised. ]

What else do you have in that bag of tricks?

Pretty much anything you'll need. I'm always prepared, that's the first rule of being an explorer.

You're a regular scout, aren't you? Prepared for what, exactly?

Danger, adventure, excitement, all sorts of things. Usually though it's just being the guy with the extra cold meds. This place is kinda boring like that.

How lame.

[ She uncaps the water bottle and takes her medicine. ]

Although I guess it comes in handy sometimes.

Says the flag twirler. Don't worry, plenty more where that came from. You should take meds more often though, living through a cold sucks.

Twirling flags is not lame, I'll have you know. Besides, we're moving into dance season. That's when we really shine. You'll be singing a different tune soon.

[ She frowns a bit. ]

I usually just power through them.

[ And then end up stuck in bed with a fever for a few days. ]
