WEATHER

November proves to be unusually cold this year, with a heavy frost setting in around the second day of the month and lingering throughout. Temperatures during the day are brisk, leading toward positively cold nights, and some begin to wonder whether the school will see an early snowfall this year. Flurries will begin to set in around the 28th of the month.

ONGOING THROUGH NOVEMBER

GIVE THANKS! November ushers in the last of the harvest festivals, and with them, people are encouraged to come together and give thanks for the bountiful harvest for the year. What does this entail? Festivals around the area, usually with livestock and produce, and, of course, parties with lots and lots of food!
EXAMS! The dreaded mid-terms. You knew this time was coming. Did you study for your tests? Do your tests even matter to you? Teachers, are you a sadist? Or will you show your poor students a bit of mercy (the answer is no, you should never show them mercy)? Heaven or Hell, let's rock these tests!
WATCH OUT! The campus has become a dangerous place lately, and we don't just mean the monster attacks! With temperatures dipping below freezing, frost and ice will begin to spread at a surprising rate. It seems a bit suspicious, actually...
OPEN HOUSE! This time of year is notorious for family members to stop by and visit, and, as such, Valoran Institute will be hosting an open house during the early part of the month. Catch up with your dear aunts and uncles, pester your kid siblings, or maybe just try to avoid getting embarrassed by your parents. Good luck, it never works.

MONSTERS OF THE MONTH!
Things seem to be relatively quiet around the campus, surprisingly enough. It seems that those valorous vigilantes have been gaining a bit of notoriety, judging by how the student body has begun talking about them. But don't get too complacent. Rumor has it that strange robed figures have been spotted around the campus, late at night.

MINI EVENT!

MID-TERM STRETCH! With mid-terms over around the 13th, the faculty have gotten together to play a game. In line with their tradition of nurturing young, strong and tactical minds, they have concocted what they call the Mid-Term Stretch! Students will be pitted against each other in a competition. The sport? To be determined. Although rumor has it that it may have something to do with paint...

The little brother... Talon? I can't imagine why anybody wouldn't want to be like him. I can't imagine it at all.

I'm sure he is the most Noxian of Noxians. [ It's really the most insulting thing Garen can think of, but apparently Cassiopeia thinks it's a compliment, so he'll leave it at that. ]

I might start, if I ever want to be your brother. I don't. I'm quite happy having Katarina as an opponent. [ Amongst other things. ]

[ a nod of approval. You have passed the test. What test? Only Cassiopeia knows. ]

Right, of course. I'm sure she'd say the same thing too. But the two are not independent of each other, I'm sure you're aware.

I'm well aware, but I'm still not interested. [ In being Cassiopeia's brother, specifically. She was thoroughly unpleasant. ] Our rivalry has me fully occupied, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to pursue anything else.

Yes, of course. I would be lying if I said I wanted to be your... sssister. [ The word sounds dirty. Poor Lux. She's so pretty and Garen is.... uh...

Well, she doesn't see what Katarina does. Not that her sister would admit anything. ]

Fully occupied... Is that so? I would have thought that you would have plenty of time if you can afford to stand out here as if it were a frozen pool party.

It seems that in this matter we are of one mind. [ Don't you dare touch Lux, you snake. ]

You might be right. I should have brought my reading materials out here with me. But even then, matters of family consume far more time and energy than a silly bet between dormmates.

Yes, very true. [ She wasn't expecting that. Although, she isn't going to show that she's been thrown off. ]

But to go back in would be to forfeit your bet, no?

It would. It's unfortunate, but I'll have to bear with this little inefficiency for a while longer.

[ Garen was always diligent in his studies, so a couple of hours off was more than fine. Besides, he was confident that he could ace all his mid-terms anyway. Except LeBlanc's.

Note to self: No more history modules. ]

[ And with that she wanders off. Okay so maybe he's not a complete meathead but he is still mostly in the fact that he agreed to this bet in the first place. ]

And I'll tell Kat to come see you. [ She says it over her shoulder with a wave and a laugh.

Well she's not really going to tell her sister to come to the peanut gallery, because she doesn't know where Katarina is. Teasing Garen is a fun sport, though. ]
