WEATHER

Fall is in full swing, and temperatures are beginning to drop. Expect crisp mornings and cold evenings, with the temperature warming slightly during the day. The dog days of summer are gone, and they seem to have taken the sun with it. A mysterious, heavy fog will begin to set in from the south starting around the 27th, and stick around through the end of the month.

ONGOING THROUGH OCTOBER

HOMECOMING! Homecoming is coming up toward the end of the month, and anyone who is anyone will be in attendance! VPrep will be hosting its own dance during the third week of October as well.
SCHOOL SPIRIT! With clubs and sports in full-swing, teams will be going head-to-head with other schools, such as Piltover Prep, Demacia School for Young Ladies, and Bandle City Academy. VI has a reputation to keep as being the best of the best, but will they keep it?
MUSICAL THEATER! Valoran Institute is gearing up for auditions for their first production of the year. Fall means time for musicals, and this one seems to be a particularly interesting one! So brush up on your solfege and get your monologues ready, it's bound to be a blood bath!
SHADOW FEST! This holiday is coming up on the 31st of the month. People are encouraged to dress up in costumes, and either play tricks on others or pass out treats. The school will be decked out in spooky decorations all month, but not all of those skeletons are decorative!
WILD CARD! Come up with your own prompt!

MONSTERS OF THE MONTH!
Shambling onto campus, the zombie apocalypse has come! Thankfully, individually they don't seem to be much of a problem, but in large groups they may be a bit harder to deal with. It seems that they have brought friends as well; the halls may be a bit more haunted than usual, and that skeleton in the anatomy lab may prove to be a bit more "alive" than originally anticipated!

MINI EVENT!

HOMECOMING HAUNTINGS! At the end of the month, Valoran Institute will be hosting their annual Homecoming game and dance. The sport? Well, all of them of course! And in the evening, a dance encompassing all three schools will take place on campus. But what's this? We have some uninvited guests from the Shadow Isles. Time to dance with the devil, Valoran Institute! It's bound to be a spooky fun time!

[His eyes drop to a journal that appears to have fallen out of Lux's bag]

Lux follows his gaze, her expression paling a bit as she seems to realize it.

She knocked her bag over. Right.

She rushed to put her diary in before Ezreal came in. Did she actually zip her bag up? ...She wasn't sure she did. ]

[ And, sure enough, sitting on the ground for everyone (especially Ezreal) to see was her diary. Still closed, thankfully. That wasn't the immediate problem, however.

She had worked so hard to hide it. Tried not to be so excited when she became a magical girl herself. It only seemed appropriate, with how much she loved them.

That much was likely evident from the adorable cartoon, frill-covered, purple-haired magical girl on the cover of her journal.

Lux stood there, frozen. NO. NO NO NO. ]

[ She takes a few very large steps toward him, standing in really close. She even gets on her toes a bit, just so that she can try to stare him down a bit. ]

[ She takes a few steps back, picking up her journal, looking around to make sure no one was around to see, then quickly tucking it into her bag. ]

I--I mean that kind of nerd! Also, excuse you, but being a member of the Science Olympiad does not immediately mean I'm a nerd. I'm in the color guard too, you know!

Color Guard is pretty damn nerdy too, let's be honest. But you'd really prefer to be the boring nerd? We fun nerds are pretty cool too.

You march and twirl flags. That's pretty dorky. At least when they make me march I get to hit things with sticks.

During the marching season! We happen to do very detailed and elaborate dance routines off-season.

Also you could do to "hit things with sticks" a little softer, the drumline is way too loud.

And frankly I'm shocked your parents are OK with you doing those dance moves. They're a bit risque sometimes.

As to the volume of the drum line, we're not too loud, the rest of the band is just too quiet.
