WEATHER

November proves to be unusually cold this year, with a heavy frost setting in around the second day of the month and lingering throughout. Temperatures during the day are brisk, leading toward positively cold nights, and some begin to wonder whether the school will see an early snowfall this year. Flurries will begin to set in around the 28th of the month.

ONGOING THROUGH NOVEMBER

GIVE THANKS! November ushers in the last of the harvest festivals, and with them, people are encouraged to come together and give thanks for the bountiful harvest for the year. What does this entail? Festivals around the area, usually with livestock and produce, and, of course, parties with lots and lots of food!
EXAMS! The dreaded mid-terms. You knew this time was coming. Did you study for your tests? Do your tests even matter to you? Teachers, are you a sadist? Or will you show your poor students a bit of mercy (the answer is no, you should never show them mercy)? Heaven or Hell, let's rock these tests!
WATCH OUT! The campus has become a dangerous place lately, and we don't just mean the monster attacks! With temperatures dipping below freezing, frost and ice will begin to spread at a surprising rate. It seems a bit suspicious, actually...
OPEN HOUSE! This time of year is notorious for family members to stop by and visit, and, as such, Valoran Institute will be hosting an open house during the early part of the month. Catch up with your dear aunts and uncles, pester your kid siblings, or maybe just try to avoid getting embarrassed by your parents. Good luck, it never works.

MONSTERS OF THE MONTH!
Things seem to be relatively quiet around the campus, surprisingly enough. It seems that those valorous vigilantes have been gaining a bit of notoriety, judging by how the student body has begun talking about them. But don't get too complacent. Rumor has it that strange robed figures have been spotted around the campus, late at night.

MINI EVENT!

MID-TERM STRETCH! With mid-terms over around the 13th, the faculty have gotten together to play a game. In line with their tradition of nurturing young, strong and tactical minds, they have concocted what they call the Mid-Term Stretch! Students will be pitted against each other in a competition. The sport? To be determined. Although rumor has it that it may have something to do with paint...

Danger, adventure, excitement, all sorts of things. Usually though it's just being the guy with the extra cold meds. This place is kinda boring like that.

Says the flag twirler. Don't worry, plenty more where that came from. You should take meds more often though, living through a cold sucks.

Twirling flags is not lame, I'll have you know. Besides, we're moving into dance season. That's when we really shine. You'll be singing a different tune soon.

[ She frowns a bit. ]

I usually just power through them.

[ And then end up stuck in bed with a fever for a few days. ]

That's not really healthy, y'know. You're going to do more damage ignoring it.

I can work through a cold. I've done it before. It's just a cold.

Sure you can work through it but you won't work as well. Although honestly, I probably shouldn't be telling you this, since if you get sick and not taking care of it will make winning Captainship for myself will be too easy.

Why are you so concerned about my health and well-being in the first place? Especially when you're so willing to talk about usurping me the first chance you get.

It'd be boring to just win because you got sick, but hey, if you want to intentionally throw be my guest.

Is that so? Well, see if you're in any condition to say that tomorrow. I can't believe you're here, honestly, sick as you are you don't even need it as an excuse to skip school.

I'm really not that sick.

[ She just woke up with a sore throat is all. Really.

And maybe a bit of a headache, but it's turning cold, that's likely why. ]

In any case, I don't "skip school." Even if I'm sick, I still make it to every single class.

Really? Want to put money on that? Honestly I probably shouldn't even be near you right now, you've got something nasty and you're probably gonna be on the floor by this time tomorrow.

I swear, I feel fine! I don't know why you seem to think otherwise.

[ She was getting a bit irritable about this. Probably the headache. She sniffles a few times. ]

Anyway, midterms are coming up and I need to be in class. I won't have my grade suffer because I have a cold.

[ She sneezes, with a bit of a shiver. ]

I'm fine.

If you say so. Anyway, gotta run. If you ask nicely I might even share my notes with you when you miss the next few days.

Around noon, she felt woozy.

By two, she was downright miserable.

She should probably go home after class, but pride would keep her going, force her into the club meeting. It was nearly 15 minutes after they were supposed to start when she came through the door, looking like a clammy, miserable mess. ]

[ Slipping into his office seemingly unnoticed, LeBlanc smiled disarmingly, holding her elbows as she crossed her arms. Dressed impeccably as always, she tilted her head slightly, inquisitively. ]

I would have thought you would be done with work by now, chairman.

[ While studying wasn't her favorite thing in the world (she was more of a practical applications sort of girl), Lux was bound and determined to have the best grade in every single one of her classes. Competition was stiff, between Ezreal, Ekko and Orianna--at least one of them having a mechanical advantage--which meant she was studying much harder to get top marks.

This also meant other things got pushed to the wayside, like taking care of herself in the cold weather. Whoops. Oh well, she was young, a cold wouldn't get her down.

She shouldn't be surprised to see Orianna in the library. No, it wasn't that. There was something different about her that the other blond simply couldn't place. Had something happened during her vacation from school? ]

[ She kept her voice low, sitting down next to the mechanical girl, smiling as she did. ]

Where have you been? We missed you at club.

[ A beat. ]

Well, I mean, I missed you too, of course, but you know what I mean. How are you? What are you working on?
